Beyond the Looking Glass: The Study of Metapsychiatry
The in's and out's of Metapsychiatry - Brand New for 2010
This ten-week course is taught by Dr. Patty Luckenbach, Metapsychiatry is going beyond conventional psychiatry, ‘meta’ meaning “beyond.” This also implies a psychiatry which studies humanity from a metaphysical viewpoint. Metapsychiatry provides a non-dogmatic, understandable method which, when understood, relieves every kind of suffering through individual realization of what is true.
The main element of Metapsychiatry is that we look at humanity in the context of total being-ness. Being here is understood to be here for God. However in Existential Metapsychiatry we move beyond a religious concept of God to an existential concept of God. God is ultimate Reality. God is existence, or the Principle of Existence. Without the God Principle existence makes no sense. The god principle is what gives meaning, purpose and a sense to existence and life.
Existential Metapsychiatry is therefore a scientific discipline based on a metaphysical understanding of humanity and the universe. Humanity is here understood to be a spiritual body, a manifestation of cosmic Love-Intelligence. The therapeutic implications of this viewpoint are vast. It alters our understanding of health and illness and expands and raised our field of awareness to the embodiment of spiritual consciousness.
